Against all the odds

Rotherham were the pre-season favourites for relegation this season but have so far defied that tag by going unbeaten in their opening four league games. They have just one victory to their name but the performances would suggest they have been slightly unlucky not to have more points. They did exit the EFL Cup during the week but they’ll still be confident when they return to league action after beating Reading 4-0 in their last league outing.

It’s now Birmingham City who are the favourites to fall through the trap door and into League One following a poor start to the new season. They have lost two of their last three and with an array of off-field issues to contend with, they could struggle here. However, they will take confidence in the fact they have scored in all of their previous six meetings with Rotherham.
