      Rotherham vs Bolton Predictions

Rotherham caused one of the upsets of the season when they beat promotion hopefuls Hull City last weekend at the New York Stadium. A Lee Frecklington penalty and a strike from Jon Newell gave the South Yorkshire club the win but it wasn’t enough to lift them out of the relegation zone.

Although they’ve lost 9 of their last 13 matches in the league, they have picked up some crucial wins in recent weeks. A 1-0 win at Leeds in November was the first since the appointment of Neil Redfearn and they hammered Bristol City 3-0 at home in their next match.

There are goals in this side and against a Bolton team that has won just once all season, they will see this as a great opportunity to record a 4th win in 7 matches and finally move outside the bottom three.

Bolton thought they were on the way to 3 points last time out when they led Fulham 2-1 going into the final five minutes thanks to two goals from Zach Clough. However they couldn’t see it through and a late leveller left them 4 points adrift at the bottom going into the Festive period.

Neil Lennon’s side have big problems and seem to have forgotten how to win so consider backing an improved and confident Rotherham side to win at 4/6 in the ‘draw no bet’ market here. That might be wise given although Bolton have only won once, they have drawn more games than any other side in the division.

It’s likely to be a close game and both teams have scored in 5 of Bolton’s last 6 matches so consider backing a 2-1 home win at 11/2.
