Rotherham vs Derby Predictions
- Rotherham have won just one of their last six home matches, losing three.
- Derby County have won their last three Championship games – all via a 1-0 score-line.
- The Rams have lost just one of their last five away trips in the league, winning three.
Resurgent Rams to Scrap Out Another Victory
Rotherham have the chance to move out of the bottom three this Tuesday evening should they beat Derby at the New York Stadium, however, we’re backing the resurgent Rams to gain a fourth league victory on the spin when they make the trip to South Yorkshire.
It’s far to early to suggest that Derby County are out of the relegation woods, but they’re well on their way after racking up three crucial league wins on the bounce since 19th January. 1-0 victories over Bournemouth, QPR and Bristol City have eased the Rams five points clear of danger and new boss Wayne Rooney has unquestionably made a significant impact at the club since taking the hotseat on a permanent basis.
They could really do with beating third-bottom Rotherham though this Tuesday considering the Millers have two games in hand up their sleeve on Derby and most of the teams directly above them, but we think they’re up to the task.
Rooney’s side have won three of their last five away trips (D1, L1) and look well priced here at around 6/4, with the hosts winning just one and losing three of their last six outings at the New York Stadium.
Paul Warne’s men weren’t expected to get anything from their game against second placed Swansea here at the weekend, though the 1-3 defeat could have left its mark on the Millers.
With Derby full of confidence and gaining momentum, we’re backing the visitors to edge another tight contest. With the Millers netting in their last seven Championship fixtures, including their last four outings in South Yorkshire, 1-2 is our correct score prediction.
