Davide Nicola’s Salernitana posted a deeply impressive 3-1 win at Lazio last time out, completing a surprise turnaround after Antonio Candreva’s outstanding equaliser at the Stadio Olimpico. That result lifted them into the top half of Serie A, and Saturday’s home clash with winless Cremonese represents an ideal opportunity for the Granata to continue their fine run.

Salernitana have won three of their last four matches, only losing at Inter since early October. Nicola’s side have only lost three of their last 11 games since an opening-day loss to Roma, and have a decent home record, scoring 10 goals in six Serie A contests on their own turf and only losing twice. Meanwhile, just seven Serie A teams have outscored Salernitana this term, while only five players have found the net more often in the Italian top flight in 2022-23 than their Senegalese forward Boulaye Dia.

Given Cremonese’s woeful season to date and Salernitana’s recent upturn, backing the hosts to clinch a fourth win in five matches appears a strong play for Saturday’s fixture.
