      MK Dons to Win

      Reason for tip

MK Dons have not been able to live up to the pre-season hype so far, but a 3-0 home win over Carlisle will have given them a lift and they can build on that by winning this one

      MK Dons 2-0

      Reason for tip

Salford are struggling for goals and have conceded at least twice in all but three of their last 14 home league games, so a 2-0 away win could fit the bill for correct-score punters.

Salford City vs MK Dons Predictions

      • Salford have scored just one goal in five league and cup matches this season
      • City have won just one of their last eight games on their own patch
      • Salford have conceded at least twice in 11 of their last 14 League Two games

Dons could have found their rhythm

MK Dons have had an underwhelming start to the season when hopes were high that they would be one of the leading lights in League Two, but this looks a good opportunity for them to get their campaign into gear.

The Dons finished fourth last season before being humbled by Crawley in the playoffs, and they stuttered early on with defeats to Bradford and Colchester.

However, a 3-0 home victory over Carlisle was a commanding performance and Salford’s home record is so poor that Mike Williamson’s side should build on that success they earned against the Cumbrians.

Whole host of concerns for Salford

Salford have yet to claim a win this season, but that does not really touch upon their problems.

It took them until their fifth league and cup match of the campaign to find the net, which they did with a late equaliser against pre-season title favourites Chesterfield.

Just one win has been gained in their last eight home league games and they have conceded at least twice in 11 of their last 14 at home, so they could be seen off by potential promotion challengers who are finally find their feet, so take the visitors to win, with a 2-0 away victory potentially of interest to correct-score punters.
