Sampdoria vs Inter Milan Predictions
Sampdoria prepare for a top 10 Serie A clash with Inter Milan on Sunday. Sampdoria have made a pretty good start to the season, but they’ve been a little up and down and their last four games has rolled through a WLWL pattern. The 2-1 away loss against Atalanta isn’t anything to be too disappointed with, but it won’t be an easy bounce back match-up on Sunday. There’s been a consistent flow of goals in Sampdoria’s games this season, either they score them or they concede them and we don’t expect a negative approach here.
Inter Milan’s perfect start to the season was spoiled in dramatic fashion on Sunday, they lost 4-1 at home to Fiorentina last weekend. Manager Roberto Mancini has an approach, it worked for a while, but there continues to be a feeling that this squad isn’t necessarily equipped to win the really tough games against the Serie A’s best and that could be a problem moving forward.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. Tough follow up game for Inter
This isn’t an easy trip to make after losing heavily at home against Fiorentina. Sampdoria are a decent side and they won’t provide an easy reprieve. We’re not confident that Inter can simply return to their winning ways once again.
2. Mancini’s game plan should work
Our correct score prediction is 1-1, because we still think ultimately Mancini’s game plan to starve Sampdoria’s creativity in midfield and to slow the game down will work. It won’t be a high-scoring match-up and ultimately deadlock wouldn’t be a bad outcome for either club.
3. Sampdoria bounce back
They’ve been pretty reliable in terms of bouncing back from defeats and we’re not expecting them slip up this weekend against Inter Milan. There’s not a huge amount of difference between the clubs in Serie A’s top half this season.
