Servette vs Rangers Predictions
- Rangers won the first leg 2-1.
- Both teams have scored in all seven of Servette’s games this season.
- Rangers have only managed one clean sheet in their last seven away games.
Crunch time for Gers
Rangers have a slender lead over Servette ahead of the second leg of their Champions League qualifier in Switzerland after a 2-1 win at Ibrox.
The Glasgow giants will feel they should have won that first leg by a bigger margin after playing the final 30 minutes against 10 men, but they will feel they can get the result they need regardless after a strong overall performance.
Both teams to score a clear starting point
Servette have been a dream for both teams to score backers in these early stages of the season as it has landed in all seven of their games so far.
Rangers managed a shutout in a 4-0 win over Livingston at Ibrox at the weekend but that was their first clean sheet of the season, and they have been vulnerable away from home as they have conceded in six of their last seven trips.
The Gers managed 14 attempts, eight on target, in the first meeting and that suggests they should be able to find a way through.
A 1-1 draw is the correct score prediction, which would be enough for Rangers to progress, as Servette may have to go all out in this game but as they only trail by one goal at present they won’t want to take too many risks either.
That could lead to a slightly cagey affair, and as five of Servette’s last six games have finished all square a draw does have some appeal here.
