Straightforward Stuff for Sevilla

Sevilla’s rich vein of form continued with a comprehensive 3-0 beating of Getafe here last weekend and Los Palanganas should bank another three points with ease against bottom side Huesca this Saturday afternoon.

Four league victories on the spin has given fourth placed Sevilla what appears to be an unassailable advantage in the race for Champions League football and only leaders Atletico Madrid have shown more consistency throughout the last three months or so.

Los Palanganas have lost just two of their last 15 La Liga starts, winning 11, a sequence which also includes four consecutive wins at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Julen Lopetegui’s stars only narrowly edged out Huesca 0-1 in November’s reverse fixture, but they were clearly the superior side as should be the case here.

Indeed, that’s been a trend for Huesca this term as the basement dwellers rarely get beaten by a wide margin. Nonetheless, Pacheta’s men have lost five of their 11 starts on the road, winning just once.

Sevilla have won three of their last four at home by a two goal margin or more, so the gap in terms of score-line may be a touch cosier this time around. The safest play here is to play with a straight bat and get behind the hosts for a three point stake, while we’re also predicting a facile 2-0 correct score in favour of the Andalusians.
