      Sevilla vs Las Palmas Predictions

Just about everything points to a home win. Since losing at home to Manchester City in the Champions League, Sevilla have won 12 games in a row at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and have scored 28 goals in those matches, letting in just 4.

They reached the Copa del Rey Final in midweek with a 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo to complete a 6-2 aggregate victory so will come into this game with plenty of confidence and in need of 3 points to close the gap on Villarreal in 4th.

Las Palmas are back in the bottom 3 by virtue of a 2-0 loss at fellow strugglers Rayo Vallecano last weekend. They’ve lost 3 of their last 4 in the league and you still have to go back all the way to December 2001 for their last away win in the top flight. With each passing trip to the mainland, Las Palmas’s confidence on the road seems to shrink and it’s very hard to see that record ending here.

Sevilla have won 8 of their last 9 home matches by 2 or more goals so backing Sevilla at 1.975 with a -1.5 Asian Handicap looks a cracking shout in this one.

Las Palmas did beat Sevilla, who also curiously are without an away win in La Liga this term, 2-0 on Gran Canaria in September. The Andalusians are much improved since then though although will be without Federico Fazio after his sending off in Vigo last weekend.

They may rotate the team a little here after a busy spell of games in the Copa del Rey and with European football returning in midweek. Still they should be far too strong for Granada and a 3-0 home win looks a good bet 7/1 in the correct score market.
