Sion vs Liverpool Betting Tips

Things are tight in the race for 2^nd place in Europa League Group B. Sion sit three points above 3^rd placed Rubin Kazan, but with the sides even on both head to head results and goal difference a loss for Sion and a win for Rubin Kazan would see them Russians go through on goal difference.

But should Sion win then they would take the top spot in Group B from Liverpool, who lie just a point above them.

But the Swiss Super League side aren’t in the best of form coming into this game. They have lost their last three matches on the trot and have only won one of their last seven in all competitions.

Sion have picked up four points from their two Europa League home matches so far this season, drawing against Bordeaux and beating Rubin Kazan. They will definitely need to improve on the last few weeks performances if they are to avoid defeat by Liverpool though.

Having said that, Liverpool’s impressive run of form came to an end on Sunday as they put in a dreadful stint in their 2-0 loss to relegation candidates Newcastle.

They were absent in attack and exploited defensively by one of the worst attacking teams in the Premier League.

Overall they are in good form though. Jurgen Klopp has barely looked back since he picked up his first Liverpool win against Bournemouth. They have won seven of their last nine matches, losing twice.

Sion know that a draw would be enough to secure them a place in the knockout stages of the Europa League, whilst Liverpool would be quite happy with a draw as well, as it would clinch the top spot in the group for them.

FC Sion could come out and try and get an early goal though to avoid any late upsets for them, so I think a Sion Win or Draw Double Chance at 4/6 is a good backing along with a 1-1 correct score prediction at 9/2.
