Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Denmark are conceding too many chances and they’re likely to be punished at a Slovenia side who have scored in each of their last seven home qualifiers. The hosts have conceded in five of their last six qualifying games, so back both teams to score.

Slovenia 2-1

Reason for tip

Slovenia have won five of their last seven home qualifiers and they claimed all three of their victories in the last campaign by a single goal. Denmark head into this clash with three defeats across their last five games.

Slovenia vs Denmark Predictions

  • Denmark have conceded too many chances early in this qualifying campaign
  • Slovenia have scored in their last seven home qualifiers
  • The hosts have kept one clean sheet across their last six qualifying games

Could Denmark struggle again?

The Danes went into the World Cup with high hopes of a strong run, but they’ve had a tough spell across the last six months. A group stage exit in Qatar has been followed by a patchy start to their Euro 2024 qualifiers, despite taking six points from their first three.

The Danes lost their only away trip to date, going down 3-2 in Kazakhstan. They also nearly blew their lead against Northern Ireland in added time on Friday, with only VAR saving them from a late equaliser. Against a more experienced NI side the chances they could conceded would have likely cost them, which is a bad omen ahead of Monday’s trip.

Slovenia rolling at home

Slovenia have also started this group with two wins from three, following their 2-0 loss to Finland last time out. They will rely on their home form to push their qualifying bid, having won each of their last three in Ljubljana.

Slovenia scored in all five home games in their previous qualifying campaign and they should capitalise on Denmark’s issues at the back. However, Slovenia have kept just one clean sheet across their last six qualifying games.

Slovenia won three of five home games in the World Cup qualifying campaign – each by a single goal. Given their good start and Denmark’s defensive issues, both teams to score looks like a good bet, with a 2-1 home win my correct score selection.
