Solihull Moors vs Torquay Predictions
Solihull Moors fell to back to back defeats for the first time since the start of January on Saturday when they were beaten 4-2 at home to Barrow, leaving them with just one win from their last six outings in the National League.
In fairness it’s not been a bad season at all for Solihull Moors though. They were promoted from the National League North last season and have taken themselves to 15th place in the National League, with an eight point cushion before they hit the drop zone. They aren’t in terrible form either, so they will definitely feel they have enough left in the tank to fend off relegation.
Their home form hasn’t been great lately though. That 4-2 loss to Barrow made it three games without a win at home for them, and they have won two, drawn one, and lost four of their last seven on home soil.
Torquay’s chances aren’t looking overly promising though. Their 1-1 draw at Wrexham made it one win, four draws, and four defeats in their last nine outings in the National League. This leaves them 21st in the table, a point adrift of safety but with a game in hand on 20th placed Woking.
Away from home they have improved lately though and have started proving rather difficult to beat. They have still only won three away games all season, but two wins, four draws, and two defeats in their last eight on the road is a vast improvement on their nine losses from their opening 11 away.
Considering Solihull Moors have only won four of their last 11 at home, I think the visitors have a great chance. With just two defeats in their last eight away games, odds of 3/4 for a Torquay Win or Draw Double Chance look good value for money. Four of these eight away games have ended all square though, so the best option for our correct score predictions is a 1-1 draw at 11/2.
