South Korea vs Colombia Predictions
- Colombia have lost just four of their last 37 friendly internationals.
- Just four of Colombia’s last 15 matches went over 2.5 goals.
- Colombia haven’t conceded in over five hours of away play.
A new era for South Korea
The end of the World Cup also spelled the end for Paulo Bento’s time as the national team manager. Enter Jurgen Klinsmann, the man tasked with taking this South Korea side and turning them into a force once again. With the Asian Cup on the horizon, he’ll likely identify these friendlies as a good way to prepare for his first shot at glory on that stage.
The South Koreans have largely dominated the H2H record against Colombia (W4, D2, L1) and are also unbeaten in all but four of their friendlies since mid-2018 (W13, D8, L4). However, welcoming an in-form Colombia side will certainly put South Korea to the test as the visitors enter this clash on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run.
All but one of those seven games ended with victory for Colombia and that’s a run which includes over five hours straight of away action without conceding a single goal. In fact, the last home team to score against Colombia at home was the reigning world champions Argentina, and they could only manage a single strike!
A split market provides value for the punter
With both teams priced generously ahead of this friendly encounter, it gives us just about enough juice to take advantage of the draw no bet market.
We’re going for a Colombia win with the insurance of draw no bet given the long layoff and general lack of knowledge about how South Korea will respond to Klinsmann’s leadership.
As for the correct score, we’re going for a very narrow 1-0 away win for smaller stakes to complete our selections for this intriguing friendly encounter.
