La Roja can warm-up for Germany with comfortable victory

Spain enjoyed a successful qualification campaign with seven wins from their eight matches as they topped Group A and La Roja can put themselves on the right path for this summer’s European Championships with victory over minnows Andorra.

Luis de la Fuente’s side have largely enjoyed playing in front of their own fans in recent fixtures, losing just one of their last nine, while they have been in fine goalscoring form with 27 goals scored across this run.

Despite bordering the Iberian giants, Andorra have only faced Spain once before – losing 4-0 back in 2004 –  and the side ranked 164th in the world have largely struggled for results in recent times, drawing four and losing 11 of their last 15.

A comfortable victory for Spain is expected, even if de la Fuente decides to name a weaker side. Spain have scored exactly three goals in three of their last four internationals, and so a 3-0 final result draws some appeal.

Andorra have only lost one of their last 25 games by four goals since a 5-0 defeat to England back in October of 2021 and they conceded just twice in their friendlies in March, drawing with South African and losing 1-0 to Bolivia. The Pyrenees nation will defend deep throughout the game even if they do fall behind early, so the minnows can keep things on the right side of respectable and beat a +4 handicap.
