Visitors can sneak a goal in Seville

Wednesday’s 2022 World Cup Qualifier at Estadio Olimpico de Sevilla looks a cakewalk on paper for Spain, though the hosts could be given something to think about based on their recent form and Kosovo’s impressive scoring record.

Daniel Olmo’s stoppage time goal saved face for the Spaniards in Georgia at the weekend as they escaped Tbilisi with a slender 1-2 success, and it marked another poor showing from Luis Enrique’s charges following a 1-1 draw with Greece in their opener last week.

Spain look nowhere near the lofty standard which they set when thrashing Germany 6-0 in November – and that’s the only game in their last six where they’ve managed to keep a clean sheet.

Enrique’s side should be far too strong for Kosovo here, but it’s a home win and both teams to score that makes appeal. On top of Spain’s dodgy displays and recent concession rate, Kosovo have fired in four of their last five matches and in all but two of their last 12 away trips.

The visitors can at least grab themselves a consolation in Seville with Spain’s squad seeming rather disjointed and low on confidence, however, we’re also backing the hosts’ class to tell and 3-1 is our correct score prediction.
