St Mirren vs Ross County Predictions
- Ross County have scored in each of their last six matches
- St Mirren are without a win in six games
- Both teams have scored in six of the last eight clashes between these two sides
County Finding Some Form
Ross County had a wretched start to the season and still sit bottom of the SPL but their form is certainly starting to improve, and that has been helped by a strong showing in front of goal.
The Staggies have lost just one of their last four (at Rangers), winning on two occasions (their only two wins in the league this season), including a 5-0 thrashing of Dundee.
Indeed, Malky Mackay’s side have netted nine times away from home in the SPL, including in four of their last six matches, and you would think they have the firepower to continue that against a St Mirren defence who have not exactly been watertight.
Equally, though, clean sheets have been hard to come by. County have managed just three of them all season, and only one on their travels, so you would expect the hosts to score at least once.
Buddies Can’t Buy A Win
St Mirren have failed to win any of their last six matches, drawing three times and sinking into the bottom half of the table.
However, there is hope for the hosts. I predict both teams will score, because they have netted in three of their last four matches at the Paisley 2021 Stadium.
Like with the visitors, though, clean sheets are proving difficult. They have managed only two in their last ten matches, both while on their travels. Indeed, they have struggled at home, picking up just one win in seven.
Given Ross County’s form, I think an upset could be on the cards in this one, with the visitors gaining a 2-1 victory.
