Summit-chasing Saints too strong for Harps 

The Premier Division summit is within St Patrick’s Athletic’s reach when they host Finn Harps on Monday evening.

St Pats leapfrogged Sligo Rovers to go second in the table on Friday and sit three points behind Shamrock Rovers, who face a tricky test at Bohemians.

Alan Matthews’ men could knock the Tallaght side off top spot if results go their way, but they may need to beat the Harps heavily to stand the best chance.

The Saints have hit form following the mid-season break with back-to-back victories and their 3-1 win at Longford Town looks better now De Town picked up a draw at Dundalk on Friday.

With five wins out of eight at Richmond Park, the hosts look well worth a bet again here – although it may not be accompanied by a clean sheet this time.

The Harps, who felt they had the better of the game in going down 2-1 to Derry City last time out, have a better scoring record on their travels than at home and we are taking them to score in a defeat here.
