      Stockport To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Blackpool’s poor start to the season cost manager Steve Bruce his job last week and they may struggle to get anything against Stockport, who reached the League One playoffs last year and again look strong promotion candidates.

      Stockport 2-0

      Reason for tip

The Seasiders have scored just one away goal in first League One games this season, so the Hatters can come out on top without conceding and claim a 2-0 success at Edgeley Park.

      Stockport vs Blackpool Predictions

      • Blackpool have lost all five of their League One away matches this season.
      • The Seasiders have scored just once on their travels in the entire campaign.
      • Stockport have not scored more than twice in any of their 11 league games this term.

      County look playoff contenders again

Blackpool head into the weekend second from bottom of League One and without a permanent manager after Steve Bruce was sacked following their 2-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon, and things look set to get worse for the Seasiders as they head to Stockport on Saturday.

The travel-sick Tangerines have lost all their away league games this term and a trip to Edgeley Park could be a daunting one as County look geared for at least another playoff appearance after a strong campaign to date.

Highflying Bradford are the only visiting team to have beaten Stockport this season and while they have drawn their last two on their own patch against Cardiff and Reading, they have been boosted by winning their last two road games at Rotherham and Huddersfield.

Goal-shy Seasiders may continue to struggle

Blackpool have come out on top in just two of their 11 league games and a lack of goals has to be a concern as a solitary strike from Ashley Fletcher in a 4-1 loss at Exeter has been their only away goal this season.

It seems unlikely that the situation will not be rectified hugely by Bruce’s departure, so take Stockport to come out on top without conceding with correct-score enthusiasts pointed towards a 2-0 home victory.
