Stoke vs Norwich Betting Tips

Stoke have put in some excellent performances recently, but despite all their quality it has proven a frustrating couple of weeks for Mark Hughes.

They surprisingly lost to West Brom last weekend before falling to a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi final.

They did manage to see off Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup 3^rd Round on Saturday though, and they will be hoping to bring this form back into the Premier League on Wednesday.

Stoke’s last five games have seen them win three times, including an excellent victory at Old Trafford and then a thrilling 4-3 win against Everton.

Their slow start to the season means they are still down in a mediocre 10^th position in the Premier League though.

Norwich are six points off their opponents coming into this match though, with their 23 point tally leaving them in 15^th position and six points above the relegation zone.

This is thanks to a terrible run of form throughout October and November, but they have finally started improving again.

Norwich have beaten the dreadfully out of form Aston Villa and Southampton in their last two Premier League matches, but a comprehensive 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup may have dented their confidence.

I think the visitors could struggle at the Britannia as well. It is a notoriously formidable stadium to visit, and Stoke have managed to win five of their last seven games there in all competitions. This includes four clean sheets as well.

By comparison, Norwich have only managed one win in their last ten away days in all competitions, with eight of those games ending in defeat.

This makes odds of 21/20 for a Stoke Win on Wednesday look really good value for money, and I’m also going for a typically efficient 2-0 win for the hosts at 8/1.
