Tip Reasoning

  • Both teams have scored in each of Bayern Munich’s seven Bundesliga away games this term.
  • Bayern Munich have won 12 of 15 league games in 2021-22.
  • Both teams have scored in seven of Stuttgart’s eight Bundesliga home games this season.

Familiar tale should play out in Stuttgart

Bayern Munich’s bid for ten Bundesliga titles in a row continues in Stuttgart on Tuesday and their form suggests another three points will be secured.

The imperious Bavarians have won 12 of their 15 league assignments, scoring an eye-popping 47 goals in the process, with Robert Lewandowski bagging 16 of them to go top of the player scoring charts.

It’s a familiar sight to see Bayern hit multiple goals every time they take to the field, but another common denominator in their matches this term is that they keep conceding.

Bayern have kept just two clean sheets in their last ten outings and zero from seven on the road in the Bundesliga. That will encourage a Stuttgart side who have begun to find the net more regularly after a lean spell throughout October and November.

Stuttgart have started scoring more regularly

Pellegrino Matarazzo’s men have bagged twice in each of their last three games, including on Saturday when the Swabians earned a 2-0 win over woeful Wolfsburg. Seven points from their last three league games has lifted Stuttgart out of the relegation zone, but avoiding defeat to this Bayern team right now is almost certainly beyond them.

And with Lewandowski still two strikes away from breaking the record for the most Bundesliga goals in a calendar year, set in 1972 by Bayern great Gerd Müller, we expect Bayern’s attacking appetite to power them to victory.

Still without Leon Goretzka due to injury and Joshua Kimmich, who is still feeling COVID-19 aftereffects, Julian Nagelsmann’s squad is being stretched a bit at the moment, and that could present Stuttgart with more chances to score than we would usually assume they would get.

Bayern have won 11 straight road games against Stuttgart and this should be another as we predict both teams to score and a 2-1 win for Der Rekordmeister.
