Stuttgart made their return to the UEFA Champions League in midweek, suffering a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

That was already their seventh game of the campaign, and each of them have featured at least three strikes.

Indeed, Reds fans have been treated to plenty of entertaining over the course of the season, with matches averaging nearly four strikes per 90 minutes.

The defence is a concern though, given they have kept just one clean sheet, and that was against second tier side SC Preußen 06 Münster in the cup, while conceding three times on three occasions.

Dortmund in good form

That will be music to the ears of Borussia Dortmund, who have shown no hangover after losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid in June.

Nuri Şahin’s side are yet to lose a match this season, winning four times in five outings and scoring at least two goals in each victory (the anomaly was a 0-0 stalemate against Werder Bremen).

The Prussians were also in European action in midweek, as Jamie Gittens inspired them to a 3-0 success against Club Brugge, which means three of their outings have featured 3+ goals.
