Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund Predictions

  • Five of Stuttgart’s last six games have featured at least four goals.
  • Borussia Dortmund’s last five away matches have featured at least three goals.
  • Dortmund have scored in all 27 of their Bundesliga matches this term.

Undav leads strong Stuttgart attack

Bayern Munich look home and hosed in the race for the Bundesliga title, but Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart, who occupy the next two spots, should serve up a treat when they meet as the league resumes after the international break on Saturday.

Home side Stuttgart come into this one, full of goals after scoring 18 times in their last six league encounters, including five times against Augsburg in their most recent outing.

Striker Deniz Undav is the second-highest goalscorer in the German top flight behind Harry Kane, and he should be full of confidence after scoring at his home stadium in Germany’s 2-1 friendly win over Ghana on Monday.

Expectations will be high for a team who have scored at least three times in eight of their last 14 games and have suffered one defeat in their last 14 league outings.

Dortmund strong in attacking third

Dortmund, meanwhile, have won nine of their last 11 league games and both of their defeats this season have come against Bayern Munich.

You have to go back to a 1-1 draw at Freiburg on December 14 to find the last time they failed to score more than once in a Bundesliga game, and that run goes back 13 matches for a team who have netted in all 27 of their league appearances this term.

They have kept just two clean sheets in their last eight league games and, after a 3-3 draw with Stuttgart at Signal Iduna Park in November, over 3.5 goals looks a good betting option, with correct-score enthusiasts pointed towards a 2-2 draw.
