Swansea vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

Swansea started the season very brightly, with their attacking quartet of Bafetimbi Gomis, Andre Ayew, Jefferson Montero, and Gylffi Sigurdsson dominated every defence they came up against.

They won three of their first five matches in all competitions, drawing the other two and beating Manchester United.

But a loss against Watford saw their unbeaten start to the season end abruptly, and things haven’t improved since then.

They have lost six of their last nine matches in all competitions, winning only once and drawing the other two.

Both defence and attack has suffered. They have scored only five goals in this period, compared to their ten goals in the first five games. 13 goals have been shipped at the other end, with only four conceded in the five games preceding this spell.

This has seen them slip down to 13^th position in the Premier League, with a total of 13 points from their opening 12 games seeing Garry Monk come under increasing pressure.

Bournemouth aren’t exactly looking rosy though. They have lost six of their last seven matches and not won since September.

This has seen them drop into the relegation zone, although a win on Saturday could lift them out of the drop zone.

Injuries to key players have been the driving force behind their slip in form. Max Gradel, Tyrone Mings, and Callum Wilson have all be ruled out for the majority of the season, but the newly promoted side will have to learn the play without them if they are to put up a fight this season.

I think this could be their week. They are coming up against an out of form side, and they were unlucky not to beat Newcastle last time out after putting in a solid performance.

Swansea just don’t seem to have any belief or desire to win at the moment, so I think odds of 17/20 for a Bournemouth Win or Draw Double Chance are excellent value for money. I’m also backing a 1-1 draw correct scoreline at 6/1.
