A 4-1 thrashing of Germany Women saw Sweden Women maintain their perfect start to Euro 2025 as they topped Group C, and they may extend their unbeaten run when they face odds-on favourites England Women on Thursday.

The Lionesses, defending their title from four years ago, recovered well from their matchday one setback against France to comfortably beat the Netherlands and Wales, but their performance against Les Bleus does raise some concerns.

They were well beaten by the eventual Group D winners and have now lost three of their last seven in all competitions, while Sweden haven’t lost a match since this time last year.

This 15-match stretch includes four draws, one of which came against England in Euro 2025 qualifying. Both meetings in that qualification campaign ended all square, meaning Sweden have only lost one of their last six meetings with the Lionesses.
