Switzerland to Win

Reason for tip

Switzerland have finally found form at the right time, winning successive matches, while they have also lost just once in their last 13 outings on home soil. Czech Republic meanwhile are on a run of three successive defeats, while they have won only one of their six away fixtures since Euro 2020

Switzerland 2-0

Reason for tip

Goals have been a real problem for the Czech Republic of late, losing their last three matches without scoring, including a couple of 2-0 defeats. Switzerland meanwhile have kept three clean sheets in their last six at home, where they have scored at least twice in seven of their last 12

Switzerland vs Czech Republic Predictions

  • Switzerland have won their last two matches
  • Czech Republic are on a run of just one win in eight on the road
  • Switzerland have lost just once in 13 home fixtures

Can Switzerland avoid the drop?

There’s a lot on the line for this game at Kybun Park, as whoever losses will be consigned to relegation, while a draw will be enough for Switzerland to stay up as they head into the clash two points clear of the Czech Republic.

Murat Yakin’s side have moved off bottom spot thanks to successive victories, finding form at the right time by beating Portugal (1-0) and Spain (2-1).

The former of those wins means they have now lost just once in 13 home fixtures, beating the likes of Ukraine and the United States in the process, as well as drawing with Italy.

Czech Republic on a shocking run

Czech Republic on the other hand have lost three successive matches without scoring, with their most recent outing ending in a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Portugal.

Jaroslav Šilhavý’s side did beat Switzerland earlier on in the Nations League campaign, their only victory of the group stages so far, but have picked up only one win in eight on the road.

Indeed, goals have been a huge problem, failing to score in eight of their last 11 on their travels, while losing three successive away matches in this competition.

I predict that that Switzerland will win this match, with 2-0 to the hosts my correct score prediction.
