Torino vs Bologna Predictions
- Bologna have won five of their last eight games, including each of their last three on the road in Serie A.
- Torino, meanwhile, have only won one of their last six matches, losing three.
- Bologna beat Il Toro 2-1 in November’s return fixture.
- Torino have recorded five draws in their last 10 league games – which may turn punters to the draw no bet market.
Motta in demand as Rossoblu surge
Monday’s match between Torino and Bologna could be crucial in Serie A’s race for seventh place – and potentially European qualification, and there is little doubt as to which side has the momentum. The Rossoblu have won five of their last eight games, leading boss Thiago Motta to be linked with the top jobs at former clubs Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. While Il Toro have a strong home record, the visitors will fancy their chances of maintaining their strong form.
Bologna claimed their best result of 2023 to date on Sunday, clinching a deserved 1-0 victory over a lethargic Inter side. The Rossoblu have only lost to Monza in league action since early January, and their travelling record is excellent – Motta’s men have won three in a row on the road in Serie A, beating Udinese, Fiorentina and Sampdoria 2-1. Bologna are level on points with seventh-placed Juventus ahead of Monday’s game, winning nine of their last 14 league matches, and appear set up for a strong end to the season.
Torino, meanwhile, are on the slide, winning just one league game in 2023 – against out-of-form Udinese on their own turf. Il Toro have thus failed to win nine of their last 10 in Serie A, though five of those have finished level, showing their tendency to keep things tight. Ivan Juric’s side have gone three without a victory, conceding a worrying six goals in their last two against cross-city rivals Juve and relegation-threatened Cremonese, but they will back themselves to keep things competitive.
Beware the draw for Bologna backers
While Bologna’s excellent form and the strong value available around Motta’s men makes them an attractive pick, Torino have only lost three of their 11 home games this term, so punters may wish to turn to the draw no bet market.
Meanwhile, both teams have scored in four of Torino’s last six matches, so a 2-1 Bologna victory represents a solid correct score prediction, particularly as they won the return fixture by the same scoreline.
