Low scorer expected in Turin

Fiorentina can continue Torino’s recent struggles at home when they visit Stadio Filadelfia on Sunday. The hosts have lost their last two home matches in Serie A and are without a win in three games on their own ground. Fiorentina are the best bet to secure the away win.

Fiorentina finished sixth in Serie A last season, whilst Torino ended the campaign in 11th place. Fiorentina achieved 65 points from 19 wins, eight draws and 11 losses, while Torino had 44 points, winning ten games and losing 14.

Fiorentina were unable to reward their backers in the 1-1 draw with Cagliari last weekend, having been priced as 5/4 favourites to win. They had won four of their previous six Serie A games, and scored with their only shot on target when Rolando Mandragora opened the scoring on 68 minutes. However, Sebastiano Luperto equalised for Cagliari.

Torino’s defence has shown signs of vulnerability, with the hosts failing to keep a clean sheet in six of their last eight home games in the league.

The hosts have been struggling to find the back of the net lately, with no goals in Torino’s last two home games in the league.

A 1-0 win for Fiorentina looks like a decent correct-score bet. Under 2.5 goals was a winning bet in 28 of Torino’s 38 Serie A games last season and Fiorentina have won two of their last three in the league by the odd goal.
