    Tip Reasoning

Tottenham Hotspur fell to their first defeat of the Premier League season last weekend when Chelsea deservedly beat them 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Just because they were unbeaten it doesn’t mean they were looking good though, because this defeat made it four losses, five draws, and just one win in their last ten outings in all competitions.

Their Premier League form now reads pretty bleakly as well, with just seven points from their last six games. Three of those points came from a rather undeserved late turnaround at home to West Ham as well.

It was none other than Harry Kane who turned that match on it’s head in the final stages, and despite missing five of the Premier League matches he is still Spurs’ top scorer with five league goals and a further one in the Champions League. Three of his league goals have come at White Hart Lane as well, so backing him to find the net at 4/5 looks a good option.

Swansea played a big part in the game of the season so far and one that will go down as a classic in the league’s history. A quite frankly ridiculous second half saw four goals scored in the final ten minutes against Crystal Palace. Palace took the lead inside 20 minutes before Swansea flipped the game on it’s head by going 3-1 up. Crystal Palace didn’t give up though and scored three goals in nine minutes to make it 4-3, but a 91st minute Fernando Llorente goal was followed by a 93rd minute Llorente goal to end the game 5-4 to Swansea.

This was Bob Bradley’s first win in charge of Swansea, and what a win to be associated with. They have now won two, drawn three, and lost eight of their Premier League games and find themselves lifted up to 19th position, two points inside the drop zone.

Swansea’s emphatic and dramatic win will have given mounds of confidence to their attacking players, and considering Spurs have conceded in seven matches on the bounce I think the visitors have a goal in them. This is strengthened by the fact that Swansea, for all their faults this season, have managed to score in six of their seven away days in all competitions.

As was made perfectly evident last weekend though, Swansea’s defence needs a lot of work. I can’t see them keeping Kane and company out for the full 90 minutes, so I’m backing Both Teams to Score at 10/11 alongside a 3-1 win for Spurs at 11/1 for my correct score predictions.
