Brest can best Toulouse again

Brest have enjoyed three successive Ligue 1 wins over Toulouse and can continue to dominate this fixture when they visit Stadium de Toulouse on Sunday.

Brest beat Toulouse 4-2 in their last Ligue 1 meeting in March and defied odds of 14/5 to secure a commanding victory. They have scored the opening goal in each of the last three encounters with these opponents.

They finished last season ninth in Ligue 1, one place above tenth-placed Toulouse, with just a point separating the two teams. Brest won 15 games and Toulouse 11, but both sides lost 14 times.

While Toulouse secured an eye-catching 1-0 away win at Nice in last weekend’s opening fixture, Brest will also have been buoyed after coming from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 with Lille.

Toulouse’s poor defence could hand Brest the initiative. They have gone ten Ligue 1 home games without keeping a clean sheet.

Brest have won by two goals the last two times they have faced Toulouse in Ligue 1 and a 2-0 away win looks on the cards again. There have been fewer than three goals in four of Toulouse’s last six league games.
