    Tromso to Win

    Reason for tip

With Tromso on a three-game win streak and Valerenga’s only victory in four coming against second-bottom KFUM, the points look likely to go the way of the hosts. Their last home match saw them beat Europa League semi-finalists Bodo/Glimt and they can make it four wins on the spin.

    Tromso 2-1

    Reason for tip

Tromso’s last home match finished 2-1 in their favour and a repeat scoreline could be on the cards. Valerenga are likely to fall short but they have at least netted in five straight matches and can breach a Tromso defence which has shipped 13 goals in seven games.

    Tromso vs Valerenga Predictions

    • Tromso have won their last three matches, scoring six goals in that run
    • Valerenga’s only win in four games came against second-bottom KFUM
    • Four of Tromso’s last seven Eliteserien games went over 3.5 goals

Talented Tromso to extend winning streak

A slow start to the season has been quickly turned around by Tromso, who have won three matches in a row after taking just four points from their opening five games.

The standout result in that sequence is an impressive 2-1 win over Europa League semi-finalists Bodo/Glimt and their 14 goals puts them amongst the highest scoring teams in the Eliteserien, suggesting they should have too much for bottom-half Valerenga on Saturday.

Valerenga will be happy with their modest start after winning the league in their first second-tier campaign since 2001 last term, with 11 points from nine games a more-than-respectable return for a promoted side.

    Valiant Valerenga may fall short

Saturday’s visitors are playing without fear on their top-flight return, recently holding title-chasing Brann to a 2-2 draw until the 81st minute before eventually succumbing to their hosts’ superior forwards.

However, they are finding wins hard to come by. Their only victory in four games came against second-bottom KFUM and they may just be missing the level of quality needed to stop Tromso extending their winning streak to four.

Valerenga have scored in each of their last five games, though, and with Tromso shipping 13 goals in their last seven matches, those searching for a big price should consider a 2-1 home victory.
