Troyes in trouble

A 2-0 victory over Bordeaux last time out could not have been more timely to Troyes, who sit only one point above the relegation zone and had won just one of their previous 11 in all competitions.

Bruno Irles’ side have been on the wrong end of a lot of narrow results, but they have conceded at least two goals in five of those dozen fixtures, including recent 5-1 and 4-1 defeats to Brest and Rennes.

They have one of the worst home records in Ligue 1, picking up only 12 points from 13 games, and have lost their last five meetings with Nantes.

Nantes pushing for Europe

Nantes are sitting just four points outside the top four in Ligue 1, with their prospects of Champions League football greatly enhanced by a run of three wins in four.

Antoine Kombouaré’s side have been particularly impressive in front of goal, scoring in eight of last ten matches, notching up 17 strikes in the process.

They have netted at least twice in six of their last nine and despite being winless in three away from home, this match-up should suit Nantes perfectly.

I predict the visitors will score at least two in this game, and I think they will get the win as well, selecting 2-1 as a correct score prediction.
