Udinese vs Torino Predictions
Things are starting to look up for Udinese, after they recorded back to back victories. They jumped to 12th after a win at Palermo on Thursday. Torino, meanwhile, are going in the opposite direction. They’re slumping down the table after a couple of bad results. Joe Hart’s new side could find themselves behind Udinese after this game, if the home side pick up another win. What chance do they have of making it three from three?
If they’re to do that, and start to establish themselves away from danger, they’ll first need to start fixing their leaky defence. Their defensive problems have seen them concede in their last seven games, while they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in 80% of their games at the Dacia Arena this season.
Udinese have conceded 1.6 goals per game so far, while they’ve averaged the same number of goals for them at home. Their recent winning run has seen them have a little scoring surge, they’ve hit three goals in each of their last two games. You’d imagine that another three here would see them claim a third straight victory.
Torino have seen quite a few goals themselves so far. They’ve hit the net twice per game on average, letting in 1.6 goals per match on their travels. With Udinese in great scoring form, you’d expect Hart will be busy once again. His midweek blunder against Inter will be fresh on his mind, the English keeper let in another two at the San Siro.
Torino do have quite a bit going for them up front, and a key man to watch here is forward Adem Ljajic. He’s always been seen as a player with potential, but he’s finally starting to deliver on his promise with his new club. He’s made three starts for the club since returning from injury, and he’s managed to score three goals. He’s quickly developing into a key player, especially as 42% of Torino’s attacks go down his right hand side. The forward is great value to add to his haul here, he’s priced at 12/5 with bet365 to score any time.
Goals seem to be the way to go in this one. These two sides have seen some high scoring games so far. Torino have averaged 3.3 goals in total in their results up to now. Udinese come in with slightly less, they’ve seen 3.2 goals per match this season. Both sides have form in the overs market, so that’s where you should be looking here. Il Toro have seen over 2.5 goals in 13 of their last 15 in the league, while the hosts have seen over two goals in seven of their last eight at home. We’re backing those runs to continue, as over 2.5 is our tip here, at 17/20 with bet365.
