Uruguay vs Colombia Betting Tips

Uruguay visited the high altitude Bolivia for their opening match of the qualifying group for the World Cup in 2018.

They came away with a 2-0 win thanks to a defensive double as Martin Caceres and Diego Godin netted.

This is a good start for the Uruguayans, but they were fully expected to beat an out of form Bolivia. The coming match will be a real test of their form.

Uruguay have only won two of their last six matches, with a win against Panama joining the win against Bolivia. They have lost against Argentina, Chile, and Costa Rica and had to settle for a draw against Paraguay.

This isn’t the best of form, and with Luis Suarez still serving his ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini last summer they have been struggling to find the net. They have only scored four times in their last six games.

After their excellent performance in the 2014 World Cup, Colombia were expected to show a lot more class in the Copa America in June.

They ended up being eliminated by Argentina on penalties after scoring just one goal in their four matches in the competition.

They did manage to put two past Peru on Thursday though as they beat Peru 2-0, but this was only their second win in their last six outings.

Only one of these games have ended in a straight defeat though, with Venezuela managing to claim an unexpected three points in their Copa America opener. They managed to beat Brazil after that, but then drew against Peru twice and were eliminated by Argentina on penalties.

Both teams have been struggling in front of goal recently, and neither team have seen three or more goals scored in a match in their last seven outings.

Odds of 4/7 for Under 2.5 Goals may seem short, but I think they actually offer a good amount of value considering both teams’ struggles up front in recent months.
