• USA have conceded in each of their last two qualifiers on the road.
• Jamaica have kept just two clean sheets in qualifying.
• USA have won four of their last five qualifying matches.

Reggae Boyz in need of a result

Jamaica will need to find a way to win here if they are to leave themselves with a chance of qualifying for their first World Cup since 1998. The hosts are currently in 6th place, five points behind Panama in the play-off position (4th) and they could fall further behind with Panama facing El Salvador the same night.

With that in mind, Jamaica are likely to attack this game and should at least get on the scoresheet. Michail Antonio got off the mark for Jamaica with a goal against El Salvador on Friday but the Reggae Boyz were denied a win in the 9oth minute and had to settle for a share of the spoils.

American Top Team

USA recorded a 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Mexico on Friday to leapfrog EL Tri and move into the top spot in the CONCACAF qualifying group.

The Stars and Stripes won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in October but so far on their travels, it hasn’t been plain sailing for the US. They stumbled to a 0-0 against lowly El Salvador and were beaten 1-0 in Panama last month.

Just four of their 14 points have been picked up on the road with a 4-1 win at bottom of the table Honduras being their only victory.

However, having scored two or more goals in four of their last five games I’m expecting their attack to see them through and for the USA to prevail here with a 2-1 win.
