      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Back both teams to score when Valencia host Celta Vigo. Celta are reliable in attack, scoring in 13 of their last 15 league games and in seven straight, and their recent matches keep landing BTTS. Valencia are strong at Mestalla but rarely keep clean sheets there, failing in nine of their last 11 home league games. The head-to-head also leans heavily towards goals at both ends, with BTTS landing in five of the last six meetings.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

A 1-1 draw is the correct-score pick. Celta have drawn three of their last four away matches and are consistent scorers, so they should get on the board. Valencia have won two straight at home but often concede, which keeps opponents in it. With both teams likely to score and Valencia games often staying under 2.5, one goal each makes the most sense.

      Valencia vs Celta Vigo Predictions

BTTS looks the play at Mestalla

Take both teams to get a goal in Sunday’s clash between Valencia and Celta Vigo at the Mestalla. Celta Vigo have scored in 13 of their last 15 league games and it is unlikely they will be shut out here.

Celta Vigo are six places above Valencia in the table, with a six-point gap between the two sides. The hosts are 12th having won nine and lost 12 of their 29 games this season, while Celta, in sixth, have ten wins and eight defeats.

Valencia have won their last two home games in the Primera Liga, including a 3-2 victory over CD Alaves last month. Celta Vigo, on the other hand, have not won in three league games and have drawn three of their last four away games.

Celta Vigo will be optimistic of finding the net, having scored in seven games in a row, a run that includes a 4-3 loss to CD Alaves two weeks ago.

Both teams have been struggling defensively of late. Valencia have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 home games in the league, while Celta Vigo have gone four games without shutting out the opposition.

Both teams have scored in Celta Vigo’s last four Primera Liga games and, in fact, both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings between Valencia and Celta Vigo in the league.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Both teams have scored in 19 of Celta Vigo’s 29 Primera Liga games this season, but five of Valencia’s last seven games have stayed under 2.5 goals.
