Verona vs Napoli Betting Tips

In Italy’s early game on Sunday, currently red hot Napoli kick off against Hellas Verona, who are still seeking a first win in the Serie A season.

Verona haven’t been able to make their home ground any sort of fortress, their style of football isn’t coming off this season and Luca Toni might just be past it as a true impact striker at the top level. The result has been an ugly season, it’s certainly not over, but they’re win-less through 12 games and are already six points adrift in the relegation zone.

Their last two games have perhaps summed up the predicament. Matches against Carpi and Bologna should have provided ideal opportunities to pick up that first win. Instead they were held 0-0 away to Carpi and lost 2-0 at home to Bologna.

Their task on Sunday will be difficult. Napoli’s slight hiccups to start the season now seem like a distant memory. They edged past Udinese 1-0 in their last game before the international break and they’re probably one of the sides that would have appreciated the break the most. Napoli are a highly effective attack, only Fiorentina and Roma have scored more than their 22 goals this season.
