Walsall vs Notts County Predictions
Notts County are the best bet to win at Walsall on Saturday. The hosts have not won at home in League Two for six games and have lost their last three on home soil.
They are six places above Walsall in the table, with both teams having won more games than they’ve lost this season. Notts County, in fifth place, have won 18 and lost nine, while Walsall sit 11th with 15 wins and 11 defeats.
Walsall could not break their losing habit last time, losing 1-0 to Fleetwood on Tuesday in their last League Two outing. Walsall were priced at 13/10 to win the game and will have been frustrated to lose, having restricted Fleetwood to one shot on target.
Walsall’s struggles in front of goal are a major concern. They have failed to score in four of their last five League Two home games, and have just 18 goals from 17 matches at home this season – an average of just over a goal per game.
Walsall have been vulnerable defensively, failing to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12 League Two games. They have gone seven matches without recording a shutout and have not kept a clean sheet in four of their last six home games.
Walsall are out of form, and backing their opponents during their current run of four defeats in six League Two games would have resulted in a profit of 4.18 units.
Walsall’s supporters haven’t had too much to cheer about in recent games, with just one win in their last eight League Two home matches. The Saddlers have lost four of their last six league games.
Notts County can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Four of Notts County’s last six League Two matches have ended with under 2.5 goals and 12 of their 18 wins this season were by a single goal. Walsall lost 1-0 to Fleetwood in their last league game.
