The Merseyside outfit are very short for the win here at 13/20 but it is seemingly more based on the fact that they are a big club in a lowly league rather than anything they’ve done on the pitch. Both those clubs have made otherwise poor starts but upped their game for the challenge of Tranmere who are regarded as the biggest club in the division and are the team that everyone wants to beat.

A repeat could be on the cards here and Welling will be really pumped up for the game. They’ve lost all their away games so far but have taken 4 points from 3 games at Park View Road which they’ll be keen to turn into a fortress if they are to have a chance of staying up.

They might not have enough quality to win the game but at 13/10 you can back them to secure at least a draw, something which they should be capable of given they have home advantage against an inconsistent Tranmere.

Tranmere have conceded twice in each of their last three games so you could certainly see both teams scoring here but with recent form poor it is unlikely either manager will take any crazy risks in an attempt to win the game.

Therefore a 1-1 scoreline is a real possibility and can be backed at 6/1.
