Hatters fighting to avoid drop

Luton have given themselves a major lifeline in the race to avoid the drop in the Championship with three wins on the spin and now face a crucial final-day decider against West Brom to maintain their spot in the second tier.

The Baggies have nothing to play for but pride following a late-season collapse that saw them fall out of the playoff picture and dispense with manager Tony Mowbray.

Stalemate likely

Two of Luton’s last three wins have come at home and their away record is less promising, they have lost 15 of their 22 road trips this term.

To add to that no team has drawn more games in the Championship this season than the hosts and the Hatters may have to settle for a share of the spoils that will leave them hoping results elsewhere go their way.
