Baggies too strong for QPR

West Brom are the bet when they host QPR at The Hawthorns on Saturday. The visitors are out of form and Tony Mowbray’s side should be backed to take advantage.

They are sixth in the table, eight places and eight points above QPR. The hosts have 12 wins, 16 draws and seven defeats, while QPR sit in 14th with 11 wins, 11 draws and 13 losses.

QPR lost 2-1 to Sheffield United last Saturday, in what was their fifth defeat in seven Championship games.

West Brom have gone three league games unbeaten and have avoided defeat in nine of their last ten Championship games against QPR. In contrast, five of QPR’s last seven matches have ended in defeat and they have lost their last two games.

West Brom have been impressive defensively at home this season, conceding just 11 goals in 17 Championship games – an average of 0.65 goals per game.

QPR will struggle to break them down and West Brom to win 2-0 looks a decent correct-score option. QPR’s last three away games have ended in defeat and six of their 13 losses this season have been by two goals. West Brom have won two of the last three meetings with QPR by a two-goal margin.
