West Ham vs Manchester City Predictions
West Ham’s winning streak came to an end last weekend as they let the relegation threatened Newcastle outperform them and come away with a 2-1 win.
This was the first time the Hammers have been beaten in their last ten outings in all competitions, and it ended their run of four wins on the trot.
West Ham are still in good form at Upton Park though. They haven’t lost there since August and have won five of their nine games since then.
Despite their loss last weekend, they still find themselves in a fairly impressive 6th position in the Premier League, with just two points between them and 5th placed Manchester United and only four points separating them from the top four.
Manchester City occupy a position within the top four, with their 43 point total putting them within a point of the top spot in the table.
The title challengers thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 last weekend to take their recent record to four wins, two draws, and one defeat in their last seven outings.
This win took their goals tally to 14 in their last six matches in all competitions, and eight of their last ten matches have ended with three or more goals being scored.
After a number of injury concerns severely weakened their attacking prowess, West Ham seem to be back. They have netted nine times in their last five games and have seen more than two goals scored on all but one occasion.
This is looking promising for the neutrals. Both sides are in good form going forward at the moment and Manchester City will be desperate to make amends for their 2-1 defeat to West Ham at the Etihad earlier in the season.
Odds of 8/11 for Over 2.5 Goals look like fair value to me as well, so I’m going for that along with a 2-2 draw at 14/1.
