      Wycombe Wanderers to Win

      Reason for tip

Wycombe’s miserable start to the season has been left behind since the appointment of Michael Duff, who has overseen three wins and just one loss in his five games as manager. The Chairboys can continue their surge up the table be beating Wigan, who have lost four of their last five games.

      Wycombe Wanderers 2-0

      Reason for tip

Wigan were beaten 2-1 by Wolves’ under-21 side in the EFL Trophy their last home game and things might be even worse for their fans on Saturday, when they are unlikely to get anything to cheer. Wycombe have won their last two trips to the Brick Community Stadium without conceding and can repeat the feat.

      Wigan vs Wycombe Wanderers Predictions

      • Wycombe have lost just one of their five games since appointing Michael Duff as manager
      • Wigan are without a win in five, losing four times in that miserable run
      • Wanderers have won their last two trips to the Brick Community Stadium

Duff set for further delight at Wigan

A number of League One games have been postponed due to the international break but two sides who really could have done with a break, Wigan and Wycombe, have been handed no such rest.

The pair both came into the season with promotion hopes but have massively underachieved. The Latics enter the weekend in a lowly 14th while the Chairboys are faring even worse, sitting 20th on just nine points.

Both are in dire need of a win as they look to finally get their seasons heading in the right direction, but it is the visitors who look far more likely to land three points on Saturday.

Latics look set for yet another loss

Wycombe have already won at the Brick Community Stadium this year, winning 2-0 when this pair met in the EFL Trophy in September, and also beat the Latics in this fixture last term.

That should give Wanderers plenty of confidence ahead of the trip to Wigan, as will their form under new manager Michael Duff. Wycombe have won three and lost just one of their five games under Duff’s stewardship and are in much better form than the Tics.

Ryan Lowe’s side have lost four and won none of their last five matches, conceding 11 goals in the process, and look set for further disappointment on Saturday.
