Wolves vs QPR Predictions
Both these sides recently changed their managers but the switch is working out better for Wolves than QPR. They managed to fight back from 2-1 down to claim a much needed home win against Bristol City on Boxing Day and will be confident of backing that up with maximum points again here.
There is potential in this Wolves side and when they get some of their longer term injury absentees back in the New Year, they should be capable of putting a run of form together to push them into the top half. They’ve looked much better in the final third in recent games with 12 goals scored in their last 5 games.
Portuguese duo Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa have been big reasons for that and they really look to be finding their feet in English football now. Cavaleiro has netted in 3 of his last 4 games and against a poor QPR side, backing Cavaleiro to score anytime at 15/8 looks to offer value.
The visitors have problems all over the pitch in truth and you have to worry for them right now with a relegation battle looking the most likely path that their season is taking. QPR have lost 6 games in a row and since a bright start to Holloway’s second Loftus Road reign with victory over Norwich, they’ve conceded 11 goals and scored only once themselves. They’ve managed just 0.87 goals per game this season, which is the joint worst goal-scoring record in the Championship.
Given all that, a home win certainly looks the most likely outcome here. Wolves are starting to tick in the final third and QPR are making too many mistakes at the back to really thwart them. The suspension of central defender Nedum Onuoha hampers them further and backing Wolves to score over 1.5 goals at Evens looks to offer value.
