Wycombe Wanderers to Win

Reason for tip

Wycombe lead League One and have won 13 times in 19 attempts this season. They have won seven of their last nine at home and face an inconsistent Bolton side who have only won three times in their last six.

Wycombe Wanderers 1-0

Reason for tip

Bolton failed top score last weekend and face a Wycombe side that have conceded just six times in eight home league games this season, so back the Chairboys to edge victory.

Wycombe Wanderers vs Bolton Predictions

Chairboys can extend League One lead

Wycombe can be backed to win at home to Bolton on Friday. The hosts are in red-hot goalscoring form this season and have the attacking threat to get the better of Ian Evatt’s side at Adams Park.

Wycombe are seven places above Bolton in the table, with the two sides separated by 13 points. Wycombe lead League One with 13 wins, four draws and two defeats from their 19 games this season, while Bolton are eighth with nine wins, three draws and six losses.

Bolton have been in patchy form recently, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six League One games. They went into Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Wigan in good nick, having won four of the previous six, but this latest defeat will have knocked them back.

Bolton’s struggles up front are a concern. They failed to score last weekend and will find it tough to break down a Wycombe side that have been prolific in attack this season with 43 goals scored in League One.

The hosts have also been solid at the back, conceding just six goals in eight home league games this season – an average of 0.8 goals per game.

With seven wins in their last nine at home, and having come out on top in three of the last four meetings with Bolton, back Wycombe to get the better of the visitors.

A 1-0 win for Wycombe looks the best correct-score option, with eight of their 13 victories this season having come by a single goal.
