Austria vs Liechtenstein Betting Tips

Austria had already sealed the top spot in Group G of the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but still let their winning mentality shine through as they came from a goal behind to score two in the final ten minutes to beat Montenegro 3-2 on Friday.

Russia beat Liechtenstein 2-0 at the same time, keeping the gap between the sides at eight points after an excellent qualifying campaign from the Austrians.

They have won eight of their nine qualifying matches, with their only blip being an opening day draw at home to Sweden.

Since then they have won all of their competitive games, although Brazil did manage to beat them in a friendly match and Bosnia Herzegovina held them to a draw back in March.

Liechtenstein’s five point collection so far is dwarfed by Austria’s huge 25 point haul, and obviously this leaves the visitors with nothing to play for in this final game.

Their only win was a 1-0 victory in Moldova, with a home draw against them and Montenegro joining six losses in their nine games.

23 goals have been conceded by them in this period as well, with a 7-0 drubbing against Russia and a 5-0 loss at home to Austria being their worst results of the campaign.

Liechtenstein will just be hoping that Austria go a bit easier on them in this match now that they have sealed qualification, but their last ditch comeback on Friday indicates that they are not willing to let their standards slip.

Austria have won all of their seven meetings with Liechtenstein in the past, scoring a total of 27 goals and conceding just once against the minnows.

It certainly doesn’t look like Liechtenstein will have a good night on Monday despite the result being meaningless, and I’m expecting another big Austria win. Odds of 13/10 for an Austria -3 Handicap Win look good value for money, so I’m backing that along with a 5-0 win at 15/2.
