Rock-solid Robins can cut short Gas’ celebrations 

Bristol Rovers ended a 295-day wait for an away victory last Saturday when they came from behind to beat Walsall at the Banks’s Stadium.

There was delerium on the pitch and in the stands from the 1,000 travelling fans at the final whistle, no doubt leading to some celebrations over the weekend.

The Gas get a tricky home test next in the form of a Swindon Town side that came down from League One with them last season, doing the double over them in the process.

But while Joey Barton’s men have struggled at the lower level so far, Ben Garner has fashioned his troops into a team that are solid and hard to beat.

Swindon travel to memorial Stadium with only one loss in their last eight games and the’re yet to concede more than twice in a match – something Rovers have already done twice.

The Robins had much the better of last weekend’s 0-0 draw against Colchester and couldn’t quite resist Northampton’s late barrage of crosses and long throws in a 1-1 draw prior to that.

A draw looks a strong runner here, hence the correct score prediction of 1-1, but we’d rather take Swindon in the double chance market just in case they can turn another near miss into a win.
