Italy vs Poland Predictions

  • Italy have drawn three of their four Nations League games so far, including a 0-0 stalemate against Poland last month.
  • Poland have lost just two of their last 17 internationals, winning 12.
  • The Poles claimed a 1-1 draw away to Italy in the 2018/19 competition.
  • The visitors have failed to score in just two of their last ten matches, while October’s goalless draw between the sides is Italy’s only blank in 16 outings.

Progressive Poles to Hold Their Own

Poland marked their rapid progression by holding Italy to a 0-0 stalemate in Warsaw last month and the Eagles can gain a similar result in Sassuolo this weekend to stay in control of League A-1.

The Poles have been outstanding overall throughout the past couple of years and are shaping as genuine dark horses for Euro 2020 next summer after amassing 25 points from their ten qualifying games.

They topped their qualification group with ease and have maintained their progress in this season’s Nations League campaign thus far. Jerzy Brzeczek’s charges suffered a 1-0 blip away to the Dutch in their opener, but a subsequent double triumph against Bosnia-Herzegovina and a 0-0 draw at home to Italy have put the Poles in, you guessed it, pole position to top their section.

This Sunday’s clash away to the Azzurri is obviously a massive test for Poland but they look too big in the Double Chance market at odds-against. Italy are a tremendous side unbeaten in 20 starts, but Roberto Mancini’s men have drawn three of their Nations League outings so far and should once again find this formidable Poland side a tough nut to crack.

Alongside our wager on the visitors, we’re also tipping up a 1-1 draw which will see Poland remain in contention going into their final game at home to Holland in midweek. Italy’s only blank in 16 games came in October’s reverse while Poland have netted in eight of their last ten, so it’s reasonable to expect a goal from both sides this time around.
