Nice to Win

Reason for tip

Nice head to Monaco after an impressive 3-2 win at PSG and can use that momentum to take down another one of France’s big guns. Monaco are unbeaten this season but they have drawn two of their last three, and with Les Aiglons starting to gel under their new manager the hosts could be in line for a first loss of the campaign as Nice appeal as underdogs.

Nice 3-1

Reason for tip

Nice won the corresponding fixture 3-0 last season and have hit five goals across their last two games. In the three games where Monaco have conceded this season, they’ve shipped seven goals in total and as Nice are yet to keep an away clean sheet a 3-1 win for the away side stands out.

Terem Moffi To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Nice striker Terem Moffi is a man in form with three goals in his last two games and he can continue his hot-streak at the Stade Louis II.

Monaco vs Nice Predictions

  • Nice have won their last two games, including a 3-2 win at PSG.
  • Monaco are unbeaten – but have just one win in their last three.
  • Nice won the corresponding fixture 3-0 last season.

Unbeaten pair clash in Ligue 1

There are just four unbeaten teams left in France’s Ligue 1 and two of those teams meet on Friday as Monaco entertain Nice at the Stade Louis II.

Monaco boast a perfect home record having won their first two games at this venue against Strasbourg and Lens, claiming a pair of 3-0 wins, but that record will be tested by the flying Les Aiglons.

Nice drew their first three games as boss Francesco Farioli found himself under early pressure but back-to-back wins – including a 3-2 success at PSG – mean they head to Monaco with momentum.

Nice appeal as underdogs

Monaco may be unbeaten but they have played out two draws in their last three games, including a 3-3 result with a poor Nantes side, so there is some temptation to back a Nice double chance result here but it could be worth being a little bolder and just going for an away win.

The visitors have had a tough start to the season having already faced Lille, Lyon, Lorient, Strasbourg and PSG but are yet to be beaten, and they look to have found some ryhthm after two wins. Nice were deserved winners at PSG, and they can back that up by taking out another big gun on Friday.

Both teams can score

Nice haven’t managed an away clean sheet yet and Monaco have scored in all of their games, so the visitors may need to score more than once to win and a 3-1 victory for the visitors looks a reasonable suggestion. Monaco are yet to concede at home, but in the three games where their opponents have scored they have conceded a combined seven goals and Nice have hit five goals across their last two games.

Nigerian forward Terem Moffi has been key to Nice’s strong form and his brace in Paris means he has three goals in his last two games, so he looks the best candidate for an anytime goal.
