Toulouse vs Strasbourg Predictions

Take both teams to get a goal in Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash between Toulouse and Strasbourg at Stadium de Toulouse. The hosts played out a 2-2 draw with Marseille last weekend and there is no reason to expect them to keep a clean sheet against Strasbourg.

Strasbourg are one place above Toulouse in the table, but there is a five-point gap between the two sides. The hosts are ninth with four wins, five draws and five losses, while Strasbourg are eighth having won seven, drawn once and lost six.

Toulouse have not won in six Ligue 1 games and while Strasbourg have lost four of their last six away games, they may be worth backing to avoid defeat here.

Strasbourg will be bullish about their chances of scoring, having no problems finding the net this season. Both teams are struggling to keep clean sheets. Toulouse have failed to keep a shutout in ten of their last 12 Ligue 1 games, while Strasbourg are on a run of six away days without recording a clean sheet.

Toulouse may be able to edge out Strasbourg in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. The visitors have lost four of their last six away games in Ligue 1, and have gone down by a single goal five times this season.
