Michael Olise to make an assist
Olise has recorded an impressive 30 assists for club and country combined since September, and the Bayern Munich winger created a goal in his first two matches at this tournament.
Sweden were blown away in a 5-1 defeat against the Netherlands, and it’s hard to see them finding a way to contain Olise’s creative talents.
Alexander Isak 1+ shots on target from outside the box
Liverpool striker Isak has been a danger from long range for Sweden at this tournament, recording a shot on target from outside the box in every game.
He’s spending considerable time playing from the left, rather than as an orthodox striker. Moving Anthony Elanga into their starting lineup has left the Swedes a little unbalanced, and Isak has moved wide to accommodate. That allows Isak to drift inside and shoot with his right, something he did from distance in all three group games.
Jules Kounde 3+ tackles
Isak can threaten from the left flank, but playing without a true winger does leave Sweden a little limited on that side of the pitch.
Right-back Kounde recorded three tackles in France’s clashes with Senegal and Norway, and he hit that tally in all three knockout matches at Euro 2024.
Viktor Gyokeres 3+ foul involvements
No Sweden player has committed more fouls at this tournament than Gyokeres, who has committed two in each of his last two appearances.
The Arsenal forward also drew two fouls in their draw with Japan, and he’s drawn 33 fouls across his last 23 international games. With his physicality proving to be a problem on the international stage, back him to commit and draw a combined three fouls against France.
