Nations League 2026-27 Outright Tips
Best Bet: Spain @ 3/1 with bet365
France and Spain are the favourites to win the tournament outright and Les Bleus are the marginal market leaders at 11/4, while world champions La Roja are 3/1.
The French have a new manager in place for the first time since 2012 as legendary playmaker Zinedine Zidane has replaced Didier Deschamps and they are just about deserving of favouritism given their embarrassment of riches in the attacking areas and the draw.
Spain have been handed a tougher group, while France take on Italy, Belgium and Turkiye, but the reigning European champions and World Cup winners look the better bet to complete a clean sweep and snare the Nations League regardless.
La Roja lost the final to Portugal in the last edition of this competition but can go one better. England and Germany look a level below the two favourites, and the same can be said for holders Portugal.
Luis de la Fuente’s all-conquering team won the World Cup with relative ease and will fancy their chances of seeing off France if the two teams do face off in the knockout stages. Spain have won each of their last three meetings with France – including a 2-0 win in the semi-finals of World Cup 2026.

Norway have their own golden generation at present and are a team who are likely to treat this competition seriously as it offers a realistic chance to claim a first international trophy.
With Erling Haaland spearheading their attack and Martin Odegaard providing creativity in midfield they have the options up front to cause any team problems, and they have further quality in all areas to support their star duo.
Norway were incredible during World Cup qualification and should be expected to emerge from their group, and an each-way bet on the Scandinavian nation at 16/1 offers good value.
Nations League Group Winner Tips
League A4: Norway @ 7/4 with bet365
I’ve picked out a few outside contenders to top their groups and Norway can edge ahead of A4 favourites Portugal.
New Portugal boss Jorge Jesus has selected veteran Cristiano Ronaldo in his latest squad. That isn’t a particularly surprising move, but at the same time there is a general feeling that the team needs to move on if they are to progress and develop.
In contrast, Norway’s stars are all in their respective primes and they have an excellent chance to top their group and make a deep run in the Nations League.
League B3: Republic of Ireland @ 7/2 with bet365
League B3 could prove to be a straight shoot-out between Austria and Republic of Ireland for first place, with Israel and Kosovo joining them in the draw.
Austria have a stronger squad but Ireland shouldn’t be written off after coming agonisingly close to reaching the last World Cup. In Real Betis forward Troy Parrott, Ireland have an in-form forward who has scored six goals in his last three competitive internationals and that firepower perhaps gives them an edge over Austria for the upcoming games in September and October.
